After 6 years, the 66th edition of the Historical Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics took place in Amalfi from 3 to 5 June. The Regatta is a sporting event that is held every year, starting from 1955, to recall the companies and the historical rivalry of Amalfi, Pisa, Genoa and Venice: the 4 historic Maritime Republics. Each year, in rotation, the 4 cities host this challenge which is held between the 4 crews rowing vintage galleons. The regatta is accompanied by many entertainment, cultural and gastronomic events. Worthy of note is certainly the historical parade, held on Saturday 4 June, with figures who parade through the streets wearing ancient clothes characteristic of the host republic.
On Friday 3 June, Radio Kiss Kiss took care of the Regatta, which, in collaboration with Radio 2 and the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, organized a great concert in which The Kolors, Francesco Gabbani, Sal Da Vinci took part. , Clementino and many other Campania artists. Presenters of the evening were Pippo Pelo and Adriana Petro, historical voices of Radio Kiss Kiss. To conclude the evening we thought the master stokers who entertained everyone present in Amalfi with a wonderful fireworks display.
But, since when we talk about Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast we cannot help but think of its lemons, characteristic products of the coast, we cannot fail to present the Pan d'Amalfi. It is a dessert by the glass made by the historic pastry shop Pansa which, by combining the ingredients of the Amalfi Coast cell type, wanted to create this sweet goodism to pay homage to the Historic Regatta.
The Regatta was won by Amalfi, who in front of 22,000 people present, beat Venice in the final 250 meters, taking home the thirteenth victory. Staying firmly anchored in second place in the regatta's roll of honor. Better than her only Venice with 36 victories.
